ANGMERING-ON-SEA

ANGMERING-ON-SEA - situated on the coast of West Sussex in the Arun District in the popular Village of East Preston, is situated between the Sea and the Downs.  The beach and greensward are very often almost deserted, as tourists frequent neighbouring beaches.  Take a tranquil walk along the beach, or greensward towards Ferring and Worthing and along the way stop at the Bluebird café for breakfast or lunch, well behaved dogs are also welcome.

Within walking distance is the popular Bella Vista Italian Restaurant situated right on the beach with stunning views reaching out to Selsey Bill and the Isle of Wight. 

In the Village situated behind the Sailing Club there is the Seaview Hotel and Public House serving an excellent menu with homemade daily specials.  Further into the Village is the Tudor Tavern Public House and Clockhouse Wine Bar.  There are a variety of food outlets including Reema Indian Tandoori Restaurant,  Chinese Peking Restaurant, Seahorse Coffee shop, A Different Kettle of Fish serving fish and chips and Pizza takeaway all situated opposite the Village Green. 

There are a variety of hairdressers, beauty salons, grocery stores - which have a daily delivery of fresh baked bread, a butchers and card/gift shop.

East Preston is a busy and attractive Village, which has expanded greatly over the years.  There is a great sense of community here with its many associations, clubs and sports facilities for all ages.  These include tennis, bowls, cricket, football, stoolball, badminton, open dinghy sailing, Guides, Brownies, Scouts, and Cubs and The Royal British Legion.

The Village is particularly well known for its local Tennis Club – The Angmering-on-Sea Lawn Tennis Club, which is very popular with locals and people in surrounding areas.

There is relatively easy access to the surrounding areas via the train station at Angmering and bus route that goes through the village.  The nearest town is Rustington, which is a short walk away just 1.5 miles to the west.

Nearby there are the bigger towns of Brighton, Worthing and Chichester.  Also nearby are golf courses and horse racing at Goodwood, Fontwell, Brighton and Plumpton.

East Preston - Angmering-on-Sea is a small Village, but has a lot to offer why not come and take a look.
